A famous question I find myself being asked by people curious in the guild is, how many people do you have?
This question always makes me wince. To me, it isn't about the numbers, and to another hard-core role player it shouldn't be either.
Something that people thinking about applying to this guild MUST understand is this. We are not a large group. And we never will be.
This is not because we are a bad guild, on the contrary. We are a very specific group of people. We are a very RARE group of people.
While other role-playing guilds may hold more numbers, we- as always - hold quality and heavy role-play above all else. We enforce role-play within the guild. We are proud, passionate advocates of role-play period.
There are a crazy number of light role-players. There is a small amount of medium role-players (Who generally don't role-play in groups or raids or whatever else), there are a couple heavy role-players who role-play almost all the time (except with some buddies or out in the world) and then....
There are us.
We believe we are paying to role-play, so we are going to do it. We are NOT going to skip corners, we are not going to be lazy. We are not going to succumb to flamers or the ignorant people who condemn us for doing what we love. Role-playing to us is more than just some 'thing' we do. It is our passion. The characters we make are given a soul which we throw ourselves into each time we log in.
We carry the guild name with pride, IC and OOC.
We are not just 'some role playing guild' we are a role-playing revolution.
And we have been for over seventeen years now.
We play characters others may not feel comfortable playing. We play 'real' characters. All the good, all the bad, no cutting corners. We encourage, support, and help members become the best role players they can be. We role-play in game, and then dive into the site here and add more depth and drama to our characters lives.
So, my friend, expecting large numbers in a guild like this is unreasonable. People like us are rare. But, you can be quite certain, the members we do have will have a passion for role playing unmatched by any other.
If you are looking to join this guild for raiding, for 'phat lewts' or even 'occasional' role-playing, we are not for you.
If you want to join because you crave people who will understand your love of role-playing and not mock or degrade you, and support your 'all IC' attitude, you've come to the right place. Here you will find an IC and OOC family unlike any other.
