It's no secret, the Cats were born in WoW.
There, you could only be in one guild at a time. Unless, you had alts, and they were in different guilds.
In ESO, you can be in to up to five guilds at a time.
We want you to want the Cheshire Cats to be your primary guild, and proudly display the guild name. We have a separate guild made called OOC Cats, for an OOC channel. So, i do hope you have room in your guild list for 'two' extra guilds should you decide you wish to join. If not, no worries. The OOC isn't mandatory, just makes life easier. The OOC channel isn't for spamming OOC. It is to mostly clarify and coordinate things with our characters. There may be some off-topic OOC chatter, but by in large, focus should be on RP.
Should you be in other guilds, for dungeoning or trade or whatever, we hope the Cats will be your primary focus, and you will do your best to adhere to our guild rules.
You will not be expected to be IC in non guild dungeon groups (unless there is another Cat with you), or the chat channels of the other guilds.
However, be aware, that you should still be IC in the (mental plane) guild hall. Be aware, anything your character is doing, is still IC. You are in a dungeon, that is where your character is. Perhaps on a contract, or a job, or whatever. There is no 'turning off' the RP or being IC. (Unless you log on to a non guild character.)
If you have any questions/need clarification, please ask.
