Now, before you read further, ask yourself, do you REALLY want to be part of a very heavy RP guild.
* Are you unable to stay IN CHARACTER when you are logged into game? (minus using methods to show you are speaking OOC when required.)
* Are you opposed to unpleasant/unhappy RP/storylines? (If you are looking for wholesome rainbows and unicorns all the time, this is definitely not the guild for you.)
* Do you find you need someone to hold your hand all the time while playing to remind you where The Line is?
* Are you joining for one person, as opposed to for what the guild stands for/believes in?
* Are you unprepared to grow and learn as a role-player?
* Do you find writing a chore?
If you answered YES to any of the above questions, this guild isn't for you. However, the site is open to you as a guest to RP on post your chars stories, diaries and enjoy. The Cats are always IC in game, so if you would like to RP with us there, just walk up.
If you answered NO to the above questions, please continue.
Our guild rules are enforced. If you want to join us, you should have no problem writing about your character and or role-playing them REGULARLY. In fact, if you are wanting to join us, you should LOVE to do so. Our guild rules are unlike any other guilds. We take RP to the next level. Role-playing is our passion. Is it yours? Do you want it to be?
If you are trying to get in for kicks, don't waste your time- or ours.
We are not your average guild, and as such we wish to make sure you are as fully informed as possible as to what you are trying to get into. This is as much for our benefit as it is for yours. Not everyone has what it takes to be a Cat.

Something important i'd like to stress. If your character is brand new, i can understand being excited to get an application in for it. However, keep in mind, a bland, poorly filled out application will not come before one whose character has been well thought. Apply when YOU know your character. If they are still brand new you can't truly know them, which means you won't be able to apply them believably to any RP. If you don't know them, how are we to know them?
For example, if a Doctor were to fill out an application- doctors are healers. They would not be having something to do with healing as an answer for every question. Because a doctor is more than -just- a healer. They are a person. They have a life outside healing. Dreams, ambitions, passions, hobbies etc that may not be related to healing. If your application just goes on in various ways to keep saying they are <whatever> class then you should re-think the character.
Also, please ensure whatever reason your character wants to join, is not (solely) for potentially romantic reasons. As in real life, such things can bud, develop, flourish or die. Your character should be secure in their choice to join the guild, no matter what may happen in their personal life. In the guild, desire to stay- over any potential lay.
Now WAIT!! One more thing. Please, do not send in an aplpication too early. Take the time to RP in game, and on the site. To make yourself known IC and OOC. i won't even be checking for applications until someone has made themselves well known. Too many get all excited, post a description, and then send in an application, never to be heard from again. Please don't waste your time, or my time.
__________________________________________________Out of Character Questions
1. What is your game handle. ( ex: @cheshirecats17)
2. What is your character's name.
3. How do you "Define" Role Playing?
4. Are you willing to learn new ways of doing things when it comes to role-playing? (Be sure to read over the entire Tips Hints & Tricks Section. Everything there is what we adhere to when role-playing and what you must become familiar with and be able to utilize in game.)
5. What other role-play experience do you have- if any?
6. Have you read over the guild rules? Prove it. There is a 'one word' way to prove you read the guild rules. If you cannot prove you have read them, you will be denied until you can.
7. Do you agree to follow them to the best of your ability?
8. Do you have any role-play limits? IE: Will not role-play abuse on someone, etc. If yes, what are they?
9. Are you prepared to heed warnings when a guild wide /ignore of another player has been issued ? (Detailed reports will be given as to why.)
10. Do you understand that the Cheshire Cats are not your average, happy-go-lucky group of people? In Character, people can be pretty in your face and story lines rather intense at times.
11. Do you feel that Role Play or Levelling (Gear, money, etc) should come first.
12. Are you more of a PvP person, or a PvE person?
13. On average, how much are you going to be on this character during a week and at what time periods?
Days a week/how long:
14. This character should be your MAIN character. If it is not, be aware alts can never become officers in the guild ICly. Do you have any alts? If yes, do you want to share with us their names?
15. Are you able to accurately differentiate between OOC and IC? Please take a moment to read about The Line Now, please describe your views on it. (DO NOT just say you know what the Line is. We want YOUR views on it.)
16. What are your expectations upon joining this guild, and why did you choose it to apply to?
17. Do you confirm, that you are 18+, a mature player of mind, and will respect the rules of the guild? The officers are not here to hold your hand. You are responsible for your own actions. Should you ever have any problems, questions or concerns, you will be expected to come to an officer so that we may discuss them openly and maturely to find a solution to your issue/s.
18. How did you hear about us?
19. Do you confirm you are aware the Cats are IC at ALL times (even pvp)- minus during NON guild raids or Dungeons. During those times, please remember you are still IC- so keep all RP in the /g guild channel. Being in the dungeon/raid is still an IC experience for your character. We just don't want to upset the 'normals'.
20. Are you aware, story lines/ character development generally happens organically through RP. Individual character story line will be the responsibility of the individual role player. The guild will have RP events from time to time (more as numbers/activity increases). If you have an RP story/direction for your character and want officers (or another player) to aid in that arc, you agree to contact us (or them) so that we may contribute to helping to create the best RP experience for everyone involved.
21. Are you prepared to be able to CHECK the site a couple of times a week for various updates/RP and willing to POST a role-play post(like a diary post and or RP thread) at LEAST once a week. Also, when you read a post, be sure to click 'read' so we know you saw it.
Sometimes it's easy to forget who your character is and fall into 90210 story lines exclusively. In an effort to curb that, here is a Mandatory questionnaire about your character designed to help YOU and US get to know them and see what RP you may be bringing to the table. All information here will be treated as OOC and not be seen by anyone but the officers.
