Even though in ESO we have avatars to represent what they are doing, IE: Leaning against the bar etc
There are many instances where they aren't enough. Especially in guild chat. There you are running blind, and can only see what others tell you you are seeing.
At such times be as realistic as possible, and helpful. If your character is sitting somewhere, for example, point it out.
*Bob waves hello from his place near the window.*
If your character is with someone, which is important to know, point that out...
*Jane looks over to the newcomer from her place in Bobs lap.*
These are very brief, very short examples. Embellish all you like.
Something else, somewhat important is, how does your character look? i will throw in little bits of how Kat looks once in a while, even if there is nothing noteworthy. By noteworthy- i'm talking significant visual aids.
Such as-
Any new wounds, cuts, bruises, broken limbs etc
Ripped clothing, odd clothing, hairstyles, make up...
Smells, unpleasant, pleasantโฆ what's it smell likeโฆ
Anything someone would see by initially looking at someone. Not something hidden underclothing, though you might mention them wearing an odd scarf about their neck or glasses or something to indicate something further.
This all leads to more exciting role play and should not be overlooked and or forgotten.
Nor should someone get upset should something obvious be mentioned they figure they could hide.. Like a cut across the face.
Not all characters may notice the same thing. A Druid may smell something more acutely, for example. Such cases require a whisper OOC to alert the person as to what they are smelling.
i'd like to see more of this implemented. Everyone help each other, and it will lead to a much more enriching and lively role play.
