It was brought up, where we were established in 2022, and yet only have 3 members, are we struggling, or what's going on.
It was a valid question.
The Cats came to ESO last year in 2022.
It took us some time to acclimatize to ESO, both IC -and- OOC. We had to learn an entirely new game/world and play style. That took some time, and i didn't want to rush anyone. So we moved at our own pace with figuring out our characters in this new world.
We also lost some members, that were supposed to be joining us, to Real Life, for one reason or another. (Hey, it happens, we understand.)
Additionally, characters also developed at their own rates, too.
We didn't just jump into a new game, figured out how to play it, and then said, ok, let's start recruiting.
No.
Our characters needed to grow (not referring to levels) and develop, and everything had to happen naturally.
Once all the pieces had fallen into place, THEN, and only then, did we officially open the doors to welcome recruits.
Are we struggling?
In a manner of speaking, perhaps. It is NOT easy to find people who want to get in on the exclusive type of guild we are offering. Few people (anymore) want to be IC at all times. That is ok! Everyone is of course welcome to their own likes, and dislikes and play styles.
However, when it comes to finding members, yes, we are struggling. The door remains open, though, and we will continue to try and find like-minded people.
That is why, each and every member that we do find, are SO freaking SPECIAL. They are not just 'another name' on the roster.
They are, truly, a unique and cherished individual, who is appreciated not just for their RP ability, but for their willingness and desire to be a part of this guild.
When it comes to role-play, we are not struggling. Our characters are existing and growing together, every time we get together. There may not be a lot of us right now, but that does not affect the quality of relationships, growth and story we create together.
