So, Real Life happens.
sh*t happens.
For whatever reason, you could end up maybe getting tired with your character, tired with a RP story line your character is in, tired with someone you have been role-playing with, maybe Real Life has created circumstances you can't be around.... so many reasons...
But whatever they are, there is something very important to remember if you/your character is engaged with another.
It's not just your character's story that is being put on hold/in limbo. But the other player/s as well.
Communication and consideration between players is so very significant.
Whatever the reason may be that you can't be around to role-play in game, if you're unable/unwilling to even continue the story between characters through other mediums while you are unable to be in game (say with email, FB, discord, the forum etc), please let the other people know. At the very least, OOC.
There is nothing worse than not knowing what is going on with someone's character.... ok, I lied. What's worse is having a character tied up with someone's character who is just suddenly unable to be around... and not knowing why. There is no closure, no hope, no nothing... it's a horrible, yawning limbo of frustration.
So, if you ever find yourself in the boat of reasons mentioned above, please remember it's not just you/your character who is unable to act normally. There may be other people and other characters that deserve some sort of answers, and or idea what is going on.
It's basic respect. Respect that should be there whether you are dealing with someone face to face or on the other side of a computer screen. It's a role-player's code.
