And by level, i mean the horizontal level. Giggity. Argonians are basically giant humanoid lizards. One who chooses to RP one of them, has the option to really get into detail about him... or her. Whether you choose to ERP or not. i mean, if you play a male who likes to brag, there aren't many non Argonian males (or females) who could boast having two sexual organs. The males' being spiked... Unless it's a male Khajiit... But... That's a whole other thread. Of course, exactly how reptile-like your character is like, is up to you. Some male reptiles don't have a peen at all. Then there is the croc or alligator... Who go around with a sword always at the ready for dueling, just keeping it tucked inside their body, out of the way. i'm not sure if ZOS knew about these details... However, all those lusty Argonian shag mags you find over Tamerial make a whole lot more sense now.... As well as an Argonian boasting he had an enemy by the 'short spines' in the dungeon, Ruins of Mazzatun, which is akin to the human saying of, i had him by the short and curlies. (Referring to genital area) The Giggity Details

Well if weโre dipping into the biologyโฆ
Whatโs to be made of female argonians who clearly have breasts? Or certainly curves suggesting that!
Yet they lay eggs (mammals donโt lay eggs but have breasts)
Then argonians try to avoid dry skin but lizards have dry skin. Scales arenโt meant to be wet. Fish have a mucus layer over their scales (so wet scales) and amphibians need to stay wet, or moist but no scales. If Argonians had wet scales they wouldnโt wear clothes or theyโd be living in damp, likely rotting or moldy clothes.
What about molting? Warm blooded (like mammals) or cold blooded like lizards?
My guess is the original writers for the elder scrolls titles understood nothing of lizards and just invented argonians โcuz it was cool as a concept.

We have to remember, this is still a fantasy world, and creature. Based loosely on real life things. How realistic one wishes to go is up to the player. Additionally, the Hist sap is this magical stuff that altered the original creatures that later became the Argonians. This also leads to possibilities of how their bodies developed one way or another. The game leaves us clues on how 'developed' they are. Like, the reference to having him by the short spikes, clearly indicating they have short spikes around their business/s. Or, that some do,. ... at the very least. As lizards do. Now then, in your post you dip further into biology. *Grin* i love animals... the non human kind. They are a humanoid creature. As such, the females clearly have boobs. This was likely just a design thing to appease players, which is highly unfortunate.... Same as the female Khajiit. Had they done the route of GuildWars, in design, where the female Charr (burly Khajiit equivalent) do not have boobs, that would have been excellent. Anyway. There are, indeed, some mammals who DO lay eggs. They are called monotremes, and there are five different kinds. The duck-billed platypus, being the most famous of the five, and four echidna types. The western long-beaked echidna, eastern long-beaked echidna, short-beaked echidna, and Sir David's long-beaked echidna. There are many reptiles that like humidity! Any reptile that originated in a tropical setting will thrive in a humid environment. Snakes (like rainbow boas), anoles (like green anoles), and geckos (like crested geckos) are great examples of humidity-loving reptiles. These reptiles need moisture in the air and will actually become diseased in dry environments.ย SourceSince Argonians have scales, i'd assume they do molt. It's just not something actually put in the game, any more than a woman's period is. Found this fun source which describes them molting, and other skin scare regimes.
